At POMDR, our staff is family. Join a small, dedicated team of individuals making a difference in the lives of senior dogs and senior people. POMDR is a resource and advocate for senior dogs and senior people. We take in senior dogs from shelter as well as dogs from senior people no longer able to care for them.

We have built a state-of-the-art veterinary clinic in Monterey to provide top quality veterinary care to the dogs we rescue and the clients we serve.

Hours: Full-time preferred (some Saturdays). Will consider part-time. Vet Clinic is located in Monterey, CA.

Qualifications:

Dental and surgical skills necessary

Strong organizational skills

Strong communication skills

Ability to work in a small clinic environment with volunteers

Self-motivated

Strong interpersonal skills

Passion for helping senior dogs and senior people

Passion for working with rescue/shelter dogs

Affinity for and experience with senior dogs

Experience with volunteering, animal rescue, animal welfare, nonprofit a plus
