About

The United States Golf Association (USGA) is the national governing body for the game of golf in the United States and Mexico, dedicated to celebrating, serving and advancing golf at all levels. As a nonprofit organization founded in 1894, the USGA oversees and produces many of golf’s premier professional and amateur championships, including the U.S. Open and U.S. Women’s Open, administers the Rules of Golf, the World Handicap System and amateur status rules in partnership with The R&A, and supports sustainability, course care, handicapping and grassroots programs that unify the golf community and foster the sport’s growth and integrity.

For 2026, the USGA is staging the 126th U.S. Open Championship from June 18–21, 2026, at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York — one of golf’s most historic venues and the only course to host the U.S. Open in three different centuries.

For 2027, the United States Golf Association (USGA) will stage the 127th U.S. Open Championship at the legendary Pebble Beach Golf Links on California’s Monterey Peninsula, with competition scheduled for June 17–20, 2027. This marks the seventh time this iconic public course has hosted golf’s national championship, having previously done so in 1972, 1982, 1992, 2000, 2010, and 2019 — events that produced some of the sport’s most memorable moments.

As one of the most celebrated venues in golf, Pebble Beach combines dramatic Pacific Ocean scenery with a challenging layout that tests all aspects of a player’s game. The 2027 Championship continues a long-standing partnership between the USGA and Pebble Beach Resort and is expected to draw the world’s best players, passionate fans and extensive global coverage. Ticket and hospitality information, including official packages with premium access and behind-the-scenes experiences, is being released in advance of the event.
