Iran stands at a historic crossroad. Weakened by decades of economic isolation and sanctions, recurring domestic unrest and unprecedented geopolitical pressure, the Islamic Republic appears on the brink of collapse. Professor Hafez examines how the Islamic Republic became so vulnerable, and what the range of possible futures holds for Iran, the region, and America’s interests in the Middle East.
