The Party for Paddy will be held at St. Mary’s in Pacific Grove, St. Patrick’s Day, Sunday, March 17th at 3 p.m. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. with pre-concert music! 

St. Mary’s loves a good party, and this one is the best, complete with great music, Irish dancing, food and libations! Once again, The Weeds and Stuart Mason will be delighting us with their saucy rhythms and sweet Irish riffs. Marisa Gilman will be joining us with her soaring dance steps. St. Mary’s bistro will be in full swing with our famous “tatties with toppings.” Concert starts at 3 p.m., but pre-concert music will start early, featuring The McMonarchs (St. Mary’s fantastic teen band) and Banish Misfortune (you will recognize some familiar faces). This special St. Patrick’s Day celebration concert will trace the migration of traditional music from the Emerald Isle to the New World, and emphasize the passing of musical traditions from the older to the younger generation. Join father-son duo John and Tyler Weed with Stuart Mason (aka The Weeds) for an evening of Celtic music and American song to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and the Irish-American musical connection. Watch the folk process unfold as John Weed and “Uncle” Stu Mason pass their musical lineage to next-generation banjo-mandolin virtuoso Tyler Weed, a fresh voice upcoming on the West Coast scene. The Weeds will be joined for this tour by brilliant Irish dancer Marisa Gilman of Portland, Oregon.
