Come and celebrate Mexican culture and heritage through food at Happy Girl. Here in the US, we celebrate Cinco de Mayo, perhaps not for the original reason, which is Mexico’s independence from France in 1862, but as an appreciation of our neighboring country and the cultural influence that we have mutually benefited from throughout the years. This year, the Cinco de Mayo falls on a Friday which gives us the opportunity to celebrate our southern neighbor and cook food influenced from Mexico. Join Suzanne and Luis in the kitchen where we will prepare corn tortillas, beans, rice, salad and a special salsa (or two!). As we do with every workshop, we will begin with a light meal and a warm drink while we settle in and prepare for a lively couple of hours in the kitchen. To mark this special occasion, we will have some aquas frescas for you to enjoy. This is going to be a really fun workshop, so register early as they tend to fill up fast!
