Happy Girl Kitchen “Discovering Spices with Suzanne” Workshop

There is an enormous world of spices out there, and they can add so much to our cooking to enhance flavor and make something simple much more interesting. Traditional American cooking has not leaned very heavily on the use of spices, yet there is incredible potential for enhanced flavor. Spices can also have many health benefits, which is an added bonus to making your food even more delicious!! Come and join instructor and Happy Girl chef, Suzanne, for this workshop where we will look and smell a large variety of spices while discussing different ways to use them. We will look at a short history of spices, how to find and purchase the freshest spices, and make some spice mixtures to take home so that we can all continue this journey! While we are together, we will make a few simple dishes and add spices to see the immediate transformation. You will take some of the fresh spice mixtures. A light meal will be served in the beginning of the workshop and you will also dine on what we make in the workshop at the end (and/or take them home) This is going to be a really fun workshop, so register early as they tend to fill up fast!
