CRIME AND PUNISHMENT (AND JAZZ) A conversation and book signing with Andre Hardy author of Tear the City Down: A Coltrane Novel on Sunday, November 1st from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at The BookWorks. At the end of the moving trailer for former NFL running back Andre Hardy’s debut crime novel, he asks, “To what lengths will a man go to save the women he loves?” The novel itself is his answer. Tear the City Down follows Coltrane Davis, a modern-day Raskolnikov, on a high-stakes journey through San Diego’s violent underbelly, a man in conflict with himself as he reaches for redemption. The LA Times called it an “action-packed new crime novel that places Hardy alongside writers like Walter Mosley, Michael Connelly, and S.A. Cosby.” For lovers of crime fiction, thrillers, ethical transformations, Buddhism, and jazz.
