August 6th is World Architecture Day. Architecture is something we do not tend to appreciate as much as we should. 

One of the ways that you can celebrate World Architecture Day is by taking the Monterey History Tour. Learn all about Monterey’s fascinating history from the arrival of the Spanish to the current day. This walking tour features the Presidio, San Carlos Cathedral, Customs House, Fisherman’s Wharf, Colton Hall, Cooper-Molera Adobe, and the Stevenson Hotel. We also discuss current points of interest like Alvarado Street, Defense Language Institute, MIIS, local restaurants, and bars. Look around you, everything is a product of architecture. 

This walking tour covers approximately 2.4 miles with one small hill and a brief stop halfway through for restrooms and/or drinks.
