Discover the beauty of Italic calligraphy in a friendly and relaxed setting! Starting Monday, September 8, Mary Jo Howe will guide a 6-week Beginning Italic Calligraphy class at the Meals on Wheels Community Center in Pacific Grove. 

Using the 2.4mm Pilot Parallel Pen, we’ll explore the graceful strokes and angles that bring this elegant Renaissance-style script to life. Italic is a classic, versatile hand that’s perfect for everything from greeting cards to envelope art. 

No experience? No problem—this class is designed for true beginners. Everyone is welcome! 

Class Details: Mondays, 1:00–3:00 PM September 8, 15, 22, 29, and October 6 & 13 Meals on Wheels, Pacific Grove
Class Fee: $60, payable to Mary Jo at the first session
Plus: fun bonus projects like card-making and envelope design!
Note: All ages are welcome—you don’t have to be over 60 to join!
Meals on Wheels does require a $40 annual membership fee (tax-deductible and supports a great cause).
