Science on Tap
Thursday, March 30, 2023 (5:30 PM - 7:00 PM) (PDT)
We are excited to announce a brand-new program and fresh take on our Hardcore Natural History Panel Series: Science on Tap! There is an incredible array of scientific discovery all over the Central Coast. Science on Tap will allow everyone to tap into their curiosity and excitement for the natural world while learning from amazing experts and enjoying beverages from our partners at local breweries and wineries. Come for the drinks and stay for the science! Science on Tap will consist of an opening happy half-hour with music, drinks, small bites, and the opportunity to talk with featured scientists before a panel discussion on local, scientific work that make positive impacts on our communities and the environment. 2023 topics include exploring and conserving the earth from above, marine and terrestrial predators, marine heat waves, and ethnobotany. Science on Tap officially begins on March 30th from 5:30-7:00pm with a discussion on conservation from 20 feet up via remote sensing, drones, and satellite imaging, with featured partner Dust Bowl Brew Co. $10 for members, $15 for non-members, and students can go to the panel discussion for free.
