Join the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History naturalist on Sunday, October 18th from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm for an active natural history tour of the beautiful Monterey Bay… by bike! 

Naturalists on Wheels is a natural history tour led by natural history experts. The ride goes from Lovers Point in Pacific Grove to Fort Ord Dunes in Sand City along the scenic Recreation Trail. We will make 4 stops at iconic landscapes with hands-on learning about marine life, geologic history, waves, weather, and the dune ecosystem. This bicycle tour comes with catered lunch.

The tour starts at Lovers Point in Pacific Grove, and ends at the Fort Ord Dunes in Sand City. Age Range: 14 & above.
What to Expect & Accessibility: Your admission will take you on a guided natural history bike tour of Monterey Bay. We’ll take 4 stops for riders to gather, rest, and engage with nature. Lunch is provided. Riders must provide their own bicycles (human-powered or e-bikes), and bicycles should be in good working condition. Helmets are required.
All participants should follow the rules of the road (linked). Participants will learn about weather, waves, dune ecology, and marine life from Museum naturalists in beautiful outdoor settings.
