DESCRIPTION:At the heart of the American enterprise from its very inception\, race has played a prominent role and continues to do so today. Over the course of 4 weeks\, The Rev. Milind Sojwal will present a series on slavery\, the Civil War\, reconstruction and Segregation to the Civil Rights Movement. St. Mary's by the Sea will present these sessions in Edwards Hall from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm on these Sundays in August: 8/2\, 8/16\, 8/23\, 8/30. The lectures are open to the community.\nAbout The Rev. Milind SojwalMilind Sojwal brings over thirty years of experience as an Episcopal priest. He served for 17 years as Rector of All Angels' Episcopal Church in Manhattan\, New York. He is currently serving as the Interim Priest at St. Mary's by-the-Sea. He holds a ThM in History of Religion from Princeton Theological Seminary. Milind is known for his engaging sermons and thought-provoking lectures.
